Application Timeline and Corrections
The application window for BRET 2024 opened on June 19 and will close on July 9. Applicants can make corrections to their forms from July 10 to 11, ensuring accuracy in their submissions.
Exam Format and Structure
The BRET 2024 will be conducted on July 31 in a computer-based test (CBT) mode. The exam consists of three parts (A, B, and C) with objective-type multiple-choice questions. There will be no breaks between sections, and the entire test will last for two hours.
Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualifications: Candidates must hold an MSc or equivalent post-graduate degree in fields such as life sciences, biomedical sciences, biotechnology, and more. General/EWS/OBC candidates require at least 55% marks, while SC/ST and PwBD candidates need 50%.
Final Year Candidates: Those in their final year of MSc or equivalent degree (IV/VI Semester or final year) for the 2023-24 session can apply provisionally pending results submission.
Attestation Requirement: Final year candidates must submit an attestation form certified by their department head, including necessary signatures and seals.
Examination Day Essentials
Candidates must bring:
- Admit card with Self Declaration (Undertaking)
- Transparent Ball Point Pen
- Additional photograph for attendance sheet
- Valid photo ID (PAN card, Aadhaar card, etc.)
- PwBD certificate if applicable
- Personal transparent water bottle and diabetic essentials if needed

Applicants must be under 30 years of age as of July 9, 2024, to be eligible for the exam.
