Fact-Checking Policy

At Not Viral, accuracy is paramount in all our content. We undertake rigorous fact-checking measures, interrogating claims, challenging assumptions, and verifying information to maintain our readers’ trust.

Our commitment to accuracy is intrinsic to our reputation and audience trust. We ensure that our content is well-sourced, evidence-based, and transparent about uncertainties. Our journalists refrain from deliberate plagiarism or distortion of facts, including visual information.

We corroborate claims and seek independent verification, particularly for statements made by public officials or individuals with vested interests. Unverifiable content is clearly attributed, and we strive to rectify any inaccuracies promptly to uphold our commitment to accuracy.

Correction Policies

While we aim for excellence, occasional errors may occur. In such instances, transparency and accountability are paramount. Readers who identify errors are encouraged to contact our Editor-in-Chief, Gaurav Verma, directly via email or our Contact page:

Email: support@notviral.in
Subject: Correction Needed

Corrections should include the error, issue date, publication format, reader’s contact information, and the correct information with a source, if available.

Upon receiving a correction request, our Editor-in-Chief investigates using available information. If an error is confirmed, we issue corrections across all platforms:

Print: Corrections are published on page 2A of the subsequent issue, detailing the error and the correction made.

Online: Articles are amended with an editor’s note at the bottom, specifying the correction and the date of modification.

Social Media: Corrections are shared on platforms where the erroneous content was posted, linking to the corrected article.

After correction, our Editor-in-Chief communicates the action taken to the reader who submitted the correction, ensuring transparency and accountability.
